Alt-Veyata - Summary

Old Veyata is the late common bridge level of the Veyatic language family between Proto-Veyatic and the later clearly separated forms of Veyrathi and Veytharic. It is already smoothed and usable across regions, but not yet as analytical and standardized as the later Veyrathi and not yet as densely reorganized as Veytharisch.

Particles like sai, hana, kei and ra clearly show the later divergence of the two daughter languages.

Alt-Veyata sounds like a language in which old depth and new clarity can be heard at the same time. It is no longer the raw ancestral speech of the Ur-Veyatic, but also not yet the separate world of the later daughter languages. This is precisely why Old Veyata is suitable as a credible last common language stage before the actual split.
